Virginia HOSA Alumni


Any student that is a HOSA member and graduating from high school or completing their postsecondary/collegiate program is eligible to become a HOSA Lifetime Alumni Member. The HOSA, Inc. Board of Directors has made this opportunity available FREE to help strengthen the organization and keep former members connected.


How to Become a HOSA Alumni

Were you a high school HOSA member? If so, you are eligible to become a HOSA Alumni! Becoming an alumnus is simple. Click this link to access the international alumni registration webpage. You will receive an email to confirm your registration. Don't forget there are many alumni benefits like discounts at Geico, Budget Car Rentals, and the Princeton Review. Virginia HOSA Alumni Spotlights

Chelsey McLaughlin, RN


Chelsey was a member of HOSA when she was enrolled in Practical Nursing in Chesapeake. She graduated in 2015 and has completed her ADN at Tidewater Community College in December 2019 and now serves on the Virginia HOSA Competitive Events Committee.

Desiree Gunn, RN


Desiree joined HOSA during her junior year of high school and served as Virginia HOSA State Historian.  After high school, she became an LPN and worked in long-term care while completing her ADN in nursing.  Her background includes med/surg, labor and delivery, employee health, educator and is currently a pre-operative and post-anesthesia care nurse.  She states, "Serving others has always been my passion and I am so thankful for the opportunity to live my dream everyday and to make a positive influence in so many lives."

Emily Perdue, LPN


Emily was a member of HOSA during her senior year and post-secondary year of attending the Practical Nursing Program at the Chesapeake Career Center.  She was the recipient of the Virginia HOSA Scholarship in 2017.  Emily started working right after graduation at Sentara Obici Hospital and is completing her ADN at Camp Community College.
