Who We Are
Virginia HOSA is the state association of HOSA-Future Health Professionals, an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Technology Education division of ACTE. Since our establishment in 1980, we've been dedicated to developing the next generation of healthcare leaders across the state of Virginia.
VA HOSA provides students with opportunities to:
- Compete at local, state, and international levels in healthcare skill competitions
- Connect with healthcare professionals, industry partners, and peers who share their interests
- Learn through workshops, conferences, and hands-on experiences
- Lead through chapter officer positions and state leadership roles
- Serve their communities through health education, awareness campaigns, and service projects

Our Mission
The mission of HOSA is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global community through education, collaboration, and experience. HOSA actively promotes career opportunities in the health industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA’s goal is to encourage all health science instructors and students to affiliate and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership.
HOSA is a viable solution to health industry shortages. HOSA Advisors globally are promoting the health professions and ensuring that future health professionals are prepared for college and their health profession of choice!
